CRKN Publishes 2024-2025 Annual Report: Charting the Path to Open Knowledge in Canada

CRKN is pleased to share our 2024–2025 Annual Report: Charting the Path to Open Knowledge in Canada. This year marked CRKN’s 25th anniversary, the renewal of the Partnership for Open Access, and the addition of three new members, bringing our community to 88 institutions nationwide.
In 2024–2025, CRKN:
- Saved members over $42.9 million through national licensing negotiations.
- Supported publication of 15,438 open access articles by Canadian researchers.
- Added 290,525 pages of documentary heritage to the Canadiana collections.
- Welcomed 14 new DataCite Canada members and facilitated over 33,000 DOIs.
- Engaged members through our Virtual Conference (571 registrants) and Member Summit & AGM (115 registrants).
